A New and Easier Method
There's no more closing or Z'ing out at the end of the day. Valuable data is not thrown away. Do reports for any period without having to close-out, post batch data or do manual processing. Simply set the beginning and ending dates and select the report you want. Reports are displayed first and, if needed, printed.

Reports Galore
There are the standard reports, multiple store reports, touch reports, executive reports, custom reports, windows reports and even notes for each customer, vendor, item and transaction. Descriptions and examples of each of these follow.

Standard Reports
Standard reports for sales, inventory, customers, vendors and employees are included with CAP software. Run them by selecting from a reports menu. Tailor the results by setting the range, order and other selection criteria.

Multiple Store Reports
The optional CAP communications and polling software produces reports at the main office for sales at each store and a consolidated customer list for mailings and statements.

Touch Reports
Touch reports give answers in response to pressing a single key. For example: press O to see all the charges and payments for a customer, or press H to see the quantity sold (by month and year) for any item in inventory.

Executive Reports
Executive reports are developed for a specific request and can be added to the standard reports menu. For example, one customer wanted to see the quantity sold by month for the past 12 months for each item on a single line.

Custom Reports
The optional link to Crystal Reports Professional and Microsoft Access is available for developing custom reports, data queries, data transfers and special operations.

Windows Graphs and Charts
The optional CAP Reports module easily converts numbers to graphs and charts. It also links the specified data to spread sheets and Word documents.

CAP Reports has all the standard sales reports plus graphs for Sales, Income and Sales Person Performance.

Select the desired fields from sales data by item, transaction, day or month and post to an Excel spread sheet without any typing. Once in a spreadsheet the information can be sorted, filtered, charted, displayed and printed in just about any format you desire.

Sales Summary
Simply select 1 at the reports menu to see the profit and transactions picture for any period. This shows the total sales, cost of sales, profit, sales tax, money paid out and received, discounts given and transaction types.

Transaction Summary

gives a quick summary review of each transaction without the details of each line. Shows the time, number, amount, cost, tax, profit and transaction type.

Cash Drawer by Station
Reconciles the contents of the cash drawer at each sales station. Shows the amount by tender type for the specified period.

Reconciles the contents of the cash drawer at each sales station by sales code. Shows the amount by tender type for the specified period. The sales code is usually the sales clerk.

Dollar Leaders
This is a favorite. It shows the dollar leaders by profit or sales. Note that it is a 132-column report and requires a printer that supports condensed print.

Quantity Leaders
Quantity leaders, that is, items that require the most activity, are not always the profit leaders. It may well be that some items do not produce enough profit to justify their existence.

Tender Type Detail
This shows the items that produce the totals for each tender type. For example, you can see the checks and amounts that were deposited for each remote store. This can make it easier to reconcile the bank deposits and account for store receipts.

Sales by Department
Most businesses like to see sales and profit by department. CAP has up to 94 departments. The description can be 20 characters, for example, Dept. M Miscellaneous.

You can see the details of what the customer purchased. Specify one customer, all customers and for any date range. Here we want to know what Joe Jacobs bought in the first two weeks of July.

Mail According to Purchases by Customer
You can mail to customers who purchased an item, items within a department or more than a certain amount within a date range. The report can generate Mailing Labels or a List. This lets you do very focused marketing and realize big savings in postage.
